Is it possible to share my iTunes library with other computers in my house? |

Yes it is, and it’s also incredibly easy to do – assuming that they’re connected to a local network. First go to the computer containing the iTunes library and then go to Preferences > Sharing and click on ‘Share my music’. Give the library a name so it’s recognisable on the other computers and also a password if you want to restrict certain computers or users from accessing it. You can also choose to have the whole library accessible or just selected playlists – just click on the tick boxes next to the ones you want to share. Now go to one of the other computers in the house and you should find that the library (or the selected playlists) is accessible from the Source list, and the music will be able to be played in the normal way – and with no noticeable lag, either. |
