To be perfectly honest, we don’t think so. In theory, it sounds fine – you set up your iTunes library to play through
randomly and you can see what’s just played and what’s coming up – but in practice it just doesn’t work. You set it up at
your party and, to begin with, it all works fine. You remember to skip the embarrassing songs in your collection and
everyone’s hugely impressed by your technical expertise. As the hours drag on though, your computer has played through a
selection of ‘classics’ from The Muppets, Celine Dion (you put it on there for ‘a joke’) and is now halfway through playing
the Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince audio book, while you snore with your face in a plant pot. Generally though,
people started leaving when iTunes played Kermit’s version of The Rainbow Connection. If you want our advice, make a lengthy
playlist and then you’ll know that every song will be a winner. |
