iPhone unlocking software blocked

A group of dedicated iPhone hackers have had their iPhone unlocking software put on hold by a last-minute phone call from AT&T's lawyers.
iPhoneunlocking claim to have been working on the software since the iPhone was released and recently announced that the software was working and could unlock an AT&T iPhone in a matter of minutes. As they were about to release a commercial version of it though, they received an oddly timed phone call from lawyers representing AT&T (at 2:45am on Saturday morning) who said that the software ‘presented issues such as copyright infringement and illegal software dissemination’.
