Is Jobs about to announce the European iPhone carriers?

Steve Jobs arrived at the Apple store in London last Sunday, with many speculating that he’s using the location to announce the European iPhone carriers next week.
With the iPhone now fully established in Apple’s home territory, the company’s direction now focuses on the rest of the world, with Europe down for an iPhone launch in the winter (the rumoured date is 1 November) and Asia in January 2008.
Several companies are in the running to carry the iPhone, with O2 the apparent front-runners in the UK.
Of course, there’s nothing unusual about the CEO of a company arriving at one of their flagship stores, but the fact that the store’s Concierge bar will be closed next Monday (16 July) leads many to believe that Jobs is going to use that as a launch platform for the iPhone, announcing which of the many European mobile phone companies will handle the iPhone.
