More fuel for the WiFi iPod rumour fire

A patent recent published by the US Patent and Trademark office gives another clear indication that Apple are planning WiFi capabilities for their iPod.
To most of us, the patent diagram is little more than a crude series of boxes, lines and symbols, but further investigation reveals that Apple appear to be working on a device that will link other devices and also software.
Apple’s wording is a ‘media player with remote control capabilities’, which could mean that a WiFi iPod (or iPhone for that matter) could be streamed to an Apple TV. Imagine being able to surf the iTunes Store on your iPhone or iPod and then transfer the music or video files to your Apple TV’s hard drive. If we had our collective guessing hat on, then that’s what we suspect Apple are planning to do. Or maybe it’s just more wishful thinking? Let us know what you think…
