More Apple stores coming to UK, Starz sue Disney, Zune not a recognised word by Google News and the iShirt finally comes to US stores…
More Apple shops coming to UK Apple are recruiting for staff for two more Apple retail stores – one in Birmingham and another in Brighton. There are already nine stores in the UK. Meanwhile, the webcam pointing at the building site that will eventually be the Apple store in Boston has posted a wonderful time-lapse movie. Check it out here. [Story via MacWorld]
Aim for the Starz The Starz cable network is suing Disney for what it claims is a breach of the contract it has with the movie company. Under the terms of the contract, Starz states that they have exclusive online distribution rights to all Disney films – and they claim to have paid over $1 billion for the privilege. If the lawsuit goes in Starz’s favour, expect to see Disney movies disappearing from the iTunes Store. [Story via Yahoo!]
Google doesn’t recognise Zune We loved this story about the fact that Google News doesn’t recognise the Zune, and instead asks if you mean ‘Zone’. In other Zune news, the colour pink is still in vogue, so US shoppers can expect a pink Zune around May. Lovely. [Story via InformationWeek]
Wear your iPod in style Clothing company Urban Tool has released the iShirt in the US, a T-shirt style top complete with an elasticated pocket to fit your iPod and a small fastener to keep your headphones in place. The iShirt is available now and costs $49.95.
