Another day, another feast of news. We’ve got a video of the Video Walkman in action, encouraging iPod sales figures for the UK and iPhones appearing on eBay…
eBay goes iPhone crazy American research company HammerTap has investigated the iPhone phenomenon and found that iPhone-related sales on eBay have topped $18,000. “People are so excited about new and innovative product releases like the iPhone that sellers find any way they can to make a profit off that excitement,” says Jen Cano, spokesperson for HammerTap. “And according to the research, anything iPhone related sells for an average of $35.” It’s mostly homemade T-shirts and domain names, but we did find an interesting thing when we went onto eBay in the UK – a iPhone-style theme for the Sony Ericsson M600i mobile phone. Sony’s new Walkman in action Fancy seeing a hands-on video of Sony’s new Video Walkman? Course you do – if only to reassure yourself that you made the right choice when you bought a nano – and you can watch it here.
iPod selling well in the UK In the current quarter (January-March), Apple have sold over 120,000 units of the 5G iPod and nearly 350,000 nanos and shuffles in the UK alone. This must be encouraging news for Apple, proving that the iPod’s continuing success is not just confined to the United States. [Story via MacWorld]
