The British TV network ITN is planning to make a range of TV shows available through the iTunes Store for free. The shows will be funded by advertising.
ITN and Apple are working together on a deal that will enable iTunes Store users to download a range of TV shows and films for free. Each video file will be funded by a short pre-roll advertisement.
The shows are expected to include news (broken down into UK, world, entertainment, business and sport), as well as other general interest shows as well as films.
This is another clear indication that Apple is working hard to add video content to the iTunes Store.
We’ve also heard recently that Apple are looking into ways to add more movies to the store to purchase, as well as continuing their plans for movie rentals.
