iPod touch shipped without OSX

One new iPod touch user was surprised to find that not only was his player already on when he opened the box, but it was showing a rather unusual screen, too…
It would appear that in the rush to get the iPod touch to market, a couple of them slipped through Apple’s usually tight testing process and have been produced with its operating system installed.
Rather than the traditional onscreen request to sync your touch with iTunes, the screen showed a row of icons displaying the various states of the onboard programs and technology.
Apart from that though, the other interesting point is the fact that one of the icons is a Bluetooth one with a red cross on it. Does this mean that Bluetooth facilities are actually on the iPod touch, or is it just a hangover from the player’s development? Time will tell…
