Is this the new iPod nano?

Possibly not, but a shot released onto the Internet yesterday by the 9to5Mac website was quickly removed by Apple’s legal department all the same.
Mimicking many of the mock-ups floating around the Internet, the shot shows the five alleged new nano colours in a flower pattern – in a style very similar to the pattern used to illustrate the original coloured iMacs.
The new design appears to be simply a shorter version of the existing 5G iPod, with a 2.5in screen and the familiar clickwheel.
Many people have commented on the fact that there are many indicators to show that the image is a fake – including incorrect shadowing on the edges of the nanos – but if that’s the case then why are Apple so keen to remove them, when there are literally hundreds of other faked mock-up shots online?
Personally, we suspect that the image is a fake, but maybe this mock-up is a little to close to reality for Apple’s liking.

It's defintely a fake and way too ugly to be an iPod. Like the bigger screen though.

If it is a fake then why was Apple so keen on removing it? I reckon there is something in this.
