TV On UK iTunes 'Imminent'

A new report claims that Apple intends to make TV shows available for purchases to iTunes customers in the UK.
Citing anonymous sources, the report from Ars Technica suggests that the service will be up and running within weeks. Apple executives had previously said that that TV shows would be available to UK customers before the end of the year.
"Things are apparently all set up and ready to go, so it's just a matter of flipping the switch," states the report.
Both Channel 4 and the BBC have been trialling their own online ‘TV on demand’ systems, so it’s highly likely that either or both would be willing to distribute content via iTunes. In the US TV shows retail on iTunes for $1.99.
