Apple revealed yesterday that they sold a total of 270,000 (give or take a few) iPhones in the 30 hours after its American launch.
In a financial announcement to reveal details of their third quarter performance, Apple’s Tim Cook told analysts that they’d sold more iPhones on its first weekend on sale than it had in one whole month of any previous Apple product and reiterated the predicted forecast that Apple will sell 10 million iPhones worldwide by the end of 2008.
Apple also confirmed that despite the high sales, AT&T only activated 146,000 iPhones during that same 30 hour period.
