Is the iPhone nano a reality?

After one analyst got his hands slapped for releasing a report claiming that Apple were working on a new iPhone, one website thinks that there’s something in it…
AppleInsider claim to have it from ‘extremely reputable sources’ that Apple are indeed planning to release a new iPhone model before the end of the year, and it’s a device that mirrors the comments of JP Morgan’s Kevin Chang (here).
The rumoured iPhone nano is a scaled-back version of the one on sale now, so you’d lose the Internet and WiFi abilities and simply have a basic iPod but with phone capabilities and a ‘revolutionary interface’.
Many indications are that Apple are planning a massive new range of products this Autumn, including dramatically redesigned iPods, nanos and iMacs. Watch this space…
iPlay opinion We’re wise enough to know that you can never completely predict what Apple are (or are not) about to do. There’s a lot of logic in the rumours of a new iPhone, but is it too soon after the launch of the main iPhone? We suspect it might be, but will still be keeping a constant ear to the ground for any more rumblings on this fascinating topic.
