iPhone games round-up

While we’re waiting for Apple to release downloadable games for the iPhone, online ones designed specifically for the iPhone have started to appear.
EA, Namco and Nintendo are all names linked with potential iPhone game development, but those wishing to play games on their iPhone – if they eventually get bored of surfing the Net, watching YouTube videos, movies and listening to music that is – might be interested to know that several sites are already offering iPhone browser-based games that are designed to work on the iPhone.
Obviously being cursed with the fact that the iPlay staff are European, we’re unable to test these games ourselves, but feel free to let us know if they don’t work and we’ll amend the list.
iWhack
Love him or hate him, it’s hard to imagine a world where giving Microsoft’s CEO a virtual whack isn’t a pleasurable experience. This variation on a well-used theme has you bashing him when he randomly appears from one of a number of holes. [Here]

Several games and magazines. You’ll need to pay a 99 cents subscription for it, though. [Here]
Scenario Poker
The first browser application for the iPhone, and it’s a good one. Play Texas Hold ’em in a tournament with 10 people. [Here]

A range of games, from Sudoku to Minesweeper. [Here]
iPhone Assassin
A bizarre game where you virtually assassinate other iPhone users and register your ‘kills’ online. [Here]
Lumina
