T-Mobile for Germany?
Dean Mortlock
0 comments 04 July 2007
According to reports in a German newspaper, T-Mobile have signed a deal with Apple to carry the iPhone in Germany, which they claim will be released in November.
The Rheinische Post previewed a story yesterday (that should appear in the paper today) saying that Apple are going with T-Mobile in Germany and that the iPhone will be released in Europe on 1 November for a price of around 450 euros.
As there are several large mobile phone operators working throughout Europe, it makes sense for Apple to go with different carriers in different countries. At the time of writing, Vodafone seem the number one choice for the UK, while Telefonica seem to be the favourite for Spain.
While it’s unlikely that Apple would release launch dates so early, we’ll report back later with any interesting facts from the full story.
