Apple Confirms YouTube For iPhone

Apple has announced that the iPhone will now include a built-in YouTube application. The application will make it possible to wirelessly stream YouTube content over Wi-Fi or EDGE networks.
“iPhone delivers the best YouTube mobile experience by far,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “Now users can enjoy YouTube wherever they are-on their iPhone, on their Mac or on a widescreen TV in their living room with Apple TV.” The iPhone will be first ever mobile device to offer playback of YouTube H.264 encoded videos, with some 10,000 available in time for the launch of the device. YouTube intends to offer its entire video catalogue in H.264 format by the Autumn.
