Marks & Spencer Gets The MP3 Bug
Mark Ramshaw
0 comments 15 June 2007
Marks & Spencer is to offer a business suit specially designed for the iPod generation.
Utilising ‘smart fabric’ technology, the new suit will feature controls built into the lapel, enabling the wearer to select tracks on their music player without even reaching inside their pocket. The suit has also been designed to keep the earphone wires out of sight.
Eleksen, which has developed the Elektex fabric used for the used says the creation "transforms clothing into must-have fashion for the billion-dollar portable MP3 and mobile phone market". The black pinstripe, two-button suit, which is also fashioned from wool and Lycra, is set to debut in nine stores with prices starting at £149 for the jacket and £59 for the trousers.
