Universal Denies DRM Rumours

Universal Music has denied reports that it is set to join EMI on Apple’s Digital Rights Management-free iTunes Plus service.
The rebuttal follows an earlier report in Digital Music News claiming that the record label was negotiating a deal with Apple that would enable higher quality versions of its artists’ tracks to be played on any computer or portable device. Peter LoFrumento, Universal Music Group Senior Vice President, has told Macworld that: “The rumour is completely untrue.”
