Apple have posted three new iPhone ads to their site that confirm the release date of their revolutionary new mobile and also that it’ll come with a two-year plan.
Each of the three ads shows off the unique features of the player, highlighting video playback, photo viewing, switching from portrait to landscape view and accessing the Internet. Each of the three ads finishes with someone answering a call, before flashing up a ‘Use requires minimum new 2 year activation plan’ warning and then the date we’ve all been waiting for: June 29.
The three ads in more detail:
Never been an iPod As in ‘There’s never been an iPod that can…’ As you’d expect, Apple are appealing directly to the iPod lovers here, with a 30-second commercial that crams in Cover Flow options, video playback and photo viewing. Watch the ad here.
How to This ad starts with someone unlocking an iPhone, before skipping through tracks in the iPod mode, browsing through your emails (including viewing photo attachments) and navigating the New York Times homepage in Safari. Watch the ad here.
Calamari Clearly this third ad is designed to show just how simple and quick it is to use an iPhone. In it, someone’s watching Pirates Of The Caribbean on their iPhone, before smoothly saying “Did somebody say… calamari?” They did, so the iPhone user simply has to press the home button, go into Google Maps, click on the search bar and type in ‘seafood’ before they’re presented with a choice of eight restaurants to choose from. Genius. Watch the ad here.
