Music magazine launches PDF podcast
James Oakwood
2 comments 13 April 2007
Traditionally, podcasts are either audio or video files, but a music magazine has bucked the trend by release a quarterly 62-page podcast in PDF format.
The newsstand magazine, Dummy, covers independent music and is currently on issue 4 (their spring issue) and features interviews with LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy and Bloc Party.
After subscribing, simply click on it in your iTunes window and it’ll open through your default PDF browser. As it’s a PDF file, you’re unable to view the magazine on your iPod, but there are plenty of magazines here that can be stored and viewed on a photo-enabled iPod.
To subscribe to Dummy, go here.

I liked it. It's just a shame that you can't transfer it to your iPod, too.

Is this the start of PDF magazines on iTunes? Hope so.
