Friday update: New links

It’s Friday again, so that means we’re celebrating the end of the working week with another update to our links Directory. Here’s what we’ve got for you this week…
Doctor Who – Flight Of The Daleks (Free Video)
Okay, so this Doctor Who fan film isn’t going to put David Tennant out of a job, but it’s genuinely okay, and it’s got Daleks in it and everything.
Drink To Moving On – Grand National (Free Music)
Another hugely underrated band, Grand National released a storming debut (Kicking The National Habit) in 2004 (2006 in the US) that was dearly loved by anyone who heard it. If you’re yet to discover them, here’s the first track off that album and then we recommend that you head to the iTunes Store to listen to the rest of it.
Simple iPod Amp (Mod Pod)
Making your own iPod amp from objects you’re sure to have lying around in the garage. And, if you happen to have any Army surplus cases lying around then you can use them, too.
Expodition (Bod Pod)
An original slant on the use of the iPod Notes function, as Expodition takes some details about your locality and then emails you a list of Note documents to put on your iPod containing relevant local information.
Movie Rush (Video Podcast)
A great movie show in weekly episodes that covers the latest releases, interviews with the stars and trailers. Easily one of the best new releases you’ll find.
Storynory (Audio Podcast)
This is obviously only going to appeal to those of you who have young children, but it’s still worth mentioning as it’s a fabulous compilation of kids’ stories that are updated regularly.
The Innocence Mission (New Music)
A great band, with the perfect soundtrack for a summer full of lazing in fields, staring at the clouds and with nothing to do but lounge around wearing your iPod. Our favourite track from them is Into Brooklyn, Early In The Morning, but there’s more to download through this blog post.
Mupp It Out
Beyonce/The Muppets (Mash ups)
With more than a subtle nod to the excellent DJ Yoda, this is a simple and hugely effective mash up, mixing Work It Out from Beyonce with the theme tune from The Muppet Show – with a bit of Nightmare by Brainbug thrown in for good measure. Scroll down Alex’s homepage and this track’s about halfway down.
ZappTek (Shareware)
This US-based shareware company has a range of products available, including iSpeak It, iPresent It, iPDA and iPod Launcher. You need to pay for the full versions, but there are trials available to download for free.
