It’s Friday again, so that means we’re celebrating the end of the working week with another update to our links Directory. Here’s what we’ve got for you this week…
Break A Leg (Free Video)
It’s independent and very low-fi, but there’s a lot of charm to be found in this four-part sit com about a writer struggling to get his series made. Click on the link above and then scroll down to find all four of the episodes - which are already formatted for the iPod.
Listen Up! – The Gossip (Free Music)
It’s a double-bill from The Gossip this week (check out our mash up for more on them), as we have a track here taken from their best-selling album Standing In The Way Of Control.
Many Books (God Pod)
When you tire of podcasts then you might want to consider downloading free ‘ebooks’, which can be viewed via your iPod’s Notes option. There are over 16,000 books to be found here, so it’s well worth investigating.
Giant iPod found? (Odd Pod)
Somebody claims that they found a giant iPod in the ground via Google Earth and that it’s an advertising campaign by Apple. Of course, it’s all complete nonsense, but we did laugh when we found this image.
Simplweb (Bod Pod)
Forgive the shameless plug this week, as the Bod Pod we have for you is a site by a personal friend of iPlay Collectives. That said, if you’re based in Ireland and looking for a new website, then you could do a lot worse than check out these guys…
Standing In The Way Of Connection
The Gossip/Elastica (Mash ups)
Even though it’s been overplayed to death, we’re still quite fond of Standing In The Way Of Control by The Gossip (and oddly attracted to Beth Ditto, too). We’re even more fond of Connection by Elastica though, and this blend works deliciously well.
