iTunes Store adds new feature

A new and extremely welcome feature has been added to the iTunes Store which allows you to use a previously bought single as credit when you purchase the full album.
As we recently predicted, Apple have made the smart move of allowing people who previously bought individual tracks to then buy the full album they came from at a reduced price.
The feature, called ‘Complete My Album’ senses which singles you’ve previously purchased and lists the albums they came from, with the price reduced by the cost of the single. There is a time limit on this though, so if you want to take advantage of this special upgrade price, then you have to buy the full album within six months of purchasing the single.
Previously, if you bought a single and then decided that you wanted the full album, you’d have to buy the whole package – and also have duplicate songs in your iTunes library.
To find out more about ‘Complete My Album’ and to see which albums you can buy, go here.
