One million sign up for the iPhone

Interest for the iPhone appears to be high, with an email signup programme launched on Cingular’s US website attracting around one million people looking for more info.
In a speech on Tuesday, AT&T’s Chief Operating Officer, Randall Stephenson, revealed that “One million people have asked us to call when [the iPhone] is available”. While these figures won’t come as a shock to many, it’s still reassuring for Apple to hear that there’s obviously a high amount of interest for their next must-have gadget.
