Microsoft release iPod patch for Vista
James Oakwood
0 comments 28 March 2007
After potentially serious compatibility issues, Microsoft has released several patches for Vista to ensure their new operating system functions properly with the iPod.
Ironically, before the patch, anyone ejecting an iPod from a PC running Vista via the operating system’s ‘Safely remove hardware’ option ran the risk of corrupting their player’s library.
Apple themselves has gone some way to resolve iTunes incompatibility with Vista (see Similar Articles, below) and still warns Vista users to only use the Eject function in iTunes to remove an iPod.
