Volaris, a small Mexican airline, may not be able to offer in-built iPod screens like the larger airlines, but it’s steal managed to steal some of their thunder…
Realising that there were a lot of people on their flights who looked like they needed something to do, the airline starting offering iPod rental to its customers at a price of around £3 ($5).
The iPods are packed with Mexican shows and music, but the airline says that they plan to offer more varied music and video content soon.
"We're the first to use iPods. We like it because no one else has it," said public relations officer Alfonso Collantes. "We just went out and bought a bunch of iPods and started giving them out to passengers.”
