Hotel gets the iPod treatment
James Oakwood

A New York hotel has decided to embrace the world’s favourite MP3 player, with silhouetted advertising and iPod docking stations in every room.
Of course, the ‘Pod Hotel’ (formally the Pickwick Arms) has no affiliation to Apple themselves, and we’re sure that they’d be quick to stress that the hotel’s name comes from the fact that the small rooms range from 80 to 160 square feet in size and are called ‘pods’, rather than any links to the iPod.
Still, we think that the Pod Hotel is superb. It’s right on Manhattan, nightly rates start from just $89 a night and although you do have to share a bathroom, the neat little touches do make it well worth checking out if you’re planning a trip to the Big Apple.
