Free iPod bank offer fails

Desperate to sign up new students, the British bank Lloyds TSB started a new scheme last year which offered free iPod shuffles to anyone who set up a student account.
Sadly though, the scheme has failed and, out of the 70,000 accounts Lloyds aimed to have, only 26,000 accounts have been opened, leaving 44,000 shuffles gathering dust.
On a more positive note, Lloyds did find a good use for all those spare iPods and give every child in a Birmingham hospital one for Christmas.
