I created an On-The-Go playlist and then it was later deleted from my iPod. Why?

We also lost our first couple of playlists, and for the same reason that you lost yours: we didn’t save our playlists after we created them. When you’ve got an On-The-Go playlist that you’re happy with, before you do anything else, go to Playlists > On-The-Go and click on the Save Playlist option. Although you can’t immediately give a name to the playlist, you can when you next sync your iPod to iTunes – just look for it in the Source bar and rename it as you see fit.
