Sony launch video Walkman

The Walkman finally gets a video update, but is it really enough to trouble the iPod? We take a closer look at Sony’s latest portable media player…
Aiming directly at the huge low-end media player market (currently dominated by the nano), the catchily titled A800 Network Walkman comes in a range of colours and sizes. At the bottom end there’s the 2GB A805 (£120), next comes the 4GB A806 (£150) and at the top is the 8GB A808 (£200).
Although it only comes with a 2-inch screen, Sony do claim that you can get around 30 hours or music or eight hours of video from the battery.

It looks too much like a mobile phone, and nobody will want to atch video on that tiny screen.
