The easiest way is to adjust the Preamp for that individual song, which is remarkably simple to do and doesn’t have any noticeable effect on the quality of the track itself. Firstly, make sure that the Equalizer column is activated (go to View > View Options and click on Equalizer in the list), then find the song you want to alter and open up the Equalizer menu. Pick the right setting for the song and then increase the Preamp to make it louder, or reduce it to make it quieter. It sound obvious, but make sure that the Equalizer setting you give to this individual track is different from the rest of the library – so that the Preamp adjustment doesn’t effect any other songs. |
