How do I convert movie files for my iPod?

If you’re able to copy a video across to iTunes but it’s the wrong format for your iPod, then just go to Advanced > Convert Selection for iPod and it’ll automatically do it for you. There are several shareware applications that will do the job quicker and easier though, and in our experience, the best of the bunch for Mac has to be iSquint. It may not look like much, but it’s surprisingly powerful and converts practically any video format you can think of. If you want to do the same thing on a PC, then – as you’d expect – there’s also no shortage of software to do the job for you. Videora iPod Converter is generally considered to be one of the best, though. For more information on converting video to iPod, it’s worth checking out Apple’s informative piece here.
